Support the Friends
Support the Friends of Hopelands and Rye Patch, Inc. and continue to enjoy the serene gardens, the history of those who came before us and the natural beauty, wildlife hidden within the brick serpentine walls. Walk into Hopelands Gardens through the oak allee or by Patsy’s Garden and the Stables at Rye Patch to explore and enjoy.
Your gift can be given in different ways and can support a range of initiatives: restoration of historical buildings, planting of gardens and trees or educational programs for various age groups.
Annual Fund
Each year, the Friends reach out to the community with a letter-writing campaign to assist with the areas of greatest need within the gardens and Rye Patch. Donations are tax-deductible and help fulfill the Friends mission.
Plant Gifting Program
Honor or remember a loved one by gifting a new sapling (Live Oak, Deodar cedar or Magnolia) or Camellia to continue the garden’s unique collections. Memorial Bench
A Charleston-style bench to offer a place of rest and reflection is a compassionate way to honor a loved one’s memory or dedicated service. A solid brass plaque with up to two lines of your personal choosing is affixed to the top portion of the backrest. The bench can be placed in an available location of the donor’s choosing. Tribute and Memorial Gifts
A gift in memory or in honor of a loved one will be recognized with a special Hopelands Gardens and Rye Patch card to notify loved ones and family members.
